MCAAustin provides training in the classroom and in a dementia care facility. From the fundamentals of dementia to best practices for supporting older adults living with dementia with activities of daily living, this training offers a complete educational solution to equip care workers with the skills needed to provide optimal care to older adults living with dementia.
What do Students get?
Our students will be more marketable to colleges and employers. MCAAustin also provides scholarships to students interested in becoming LVN’s or RN’s after working in memory care for a year or more.
What is expected of our Students?
MCAAustin students must have additional drive and determination to further their career in caregiving. We expect our students to attend the in-person coursework sessions (or on-line coursework is available, with approval). They are also expected to attend training at the selected memory care facilities.
